Attorney Information

Overview

I grew up in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, and spent most of my youth surfing, swimming, and enjoying all the ocean has to offer. From a young age, I was fascinated with being a journalist and reporting on the world's problems. My passions and interests led me to sunny Florida for college, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. However, in college, I discovered that I didn't want to just report on the world's problems, but help solve them, too, and becoming a lawyer was the way to do that.

After Florida, I headed to Washington, D.C. to obtain my J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and see what the nation's capital had to offer. While in law school, I served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Legislation and Policy Brief, the President of the Communications and Media Law Society, and a student attorney in the Glushko-Samuelson Intellectual Property Law Clinic. I also interned for the U.S. House of Representatives and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). I spent about five years in D.C. learning all that I could before coming back to North Carolina - I just couldn't stay away from the south forever.

When I came back to North Carolina, I wanted to do something that helped people every single day. Now, at Kennedy Law Associates, I get to help clients navigate all aspects of family law, estate planning, and probate. These are very important and (can be) very emotional topics, and clients deserve an attorney who will listen to them and talk them through the process. When it comes to probate, I know first-hand what it's like to lose a loved one and the aftermath that comes with it, and how important it is to have someone with you every step of the way. All of our clients deserve that level of support, and I am happy to provide it. I am admitted to practice law in North Carolina, South Carolina, and the District of Columbia.

Aside from working, you can find me spending time at the beach, scuba diving, or buying tickets to all of my bucket list concerts (Rolling Stones, you're next).
