Dana thereafter pursued her Juris Doctor degree and graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in 1998. Dana has been licensed to practice in North Carolina since 1998 and is currently a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Union County Bar Association. Dana expanded her areas of service in the family law field by becoming a Board Certified Family Law Specialist in 2008, and also a Certified Family Financial Mediator.
Dana not only brings a history of legal knowledge with her, but also brings a history of community involvement, volunteer hours and serving on various non-profit boards throughout Union County and the surrounding areas.
Dana is an active volunteer with the Union County Community Shelter and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the shelter. Dana has been and currently serves as a soccer and basketball coach and serves as the Co-Commissioner for the Monroe Youth Soccer Association. Dana is actively involved in other non-profit organizations through either past-sponsorships of major fundraising events, as a speaker, or through dedicating personal volunteer time, some of which include, the local Red Cross Chapter, Literacy Council, Union County's Women in Business (a division of the Union County Chamber of Commerce events), and the Union County Community Arts Council. Dana has been a past speaker at various events throughout the area and eve at the Pageland South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.
Dana remains committed to her clients by walking them through the difficult issues in family law and making sure that clients know all of their options to make an informed decision, even if that decision leads them to other avenues besides litigation. Dana also maintains a high level of integrity during her role as a mediator, acknowledging that parties involved in highly contested court cases need a reasonable sounding board, extensive trial experience, and someone that is dedicated to helping them resolve their issues outside the courtroom.
