As a law clerk, she drafted judicial opinions in civil and criminal matters and assisted with drafting local rules of court. In 2016, she coordinated programming for Cumberland County’s Law Day and volunteered with Will for Heroes to provide essential legal documents for first responders. Following her clerkship, Ms. Reed worked as a staff attorney for MidPenn Legal Services. She began by representing tenants in housing matters and coordinating legal clinics at homeless shelters and then transitioned to a grant-funded position representing victims of domestic and sexual violence in family and civil matters. After relocating from Pennsylvania to North Carolina, Ms. Reed took the North Carolina bar exam to obtain North Carolina licensure and worked as a document review attorney.
