Matt is the best lemon law attorney! I bought a 2019 Subaru Outback that leaked whenever it rained. It was a nightmare! Subaru couldn’t find the leak. I spent hours, days, weeks trying to get this resolved at the dealership, through my insurance company, my own investigating and researching etc, I felt like I was going crazy. I felt defeated. I felt stuck with a car that leaks. I travel for work and started getting headaches every time I drove my car more than 20 mins. Whenever I even mentioned my car might be a lemon the dealership would act defensive like I somehow caused the leak or people would say good luck with that. I didn’t know what to do or who to turn to. I saw Matt’s website online when looking into lemon laws and decided to contact him. BEST DECISION I EVER MADE!! Matt contacted me immediately and made me feel normal again. I had loss my confidence and hope but suddenly felt supported and validated. Matt took the ball from there. Literally. I didn’t even have to think about it anymore. He handled EVERYTHING! He would update me on his progress and check in with me other than that I just sat back while he took care of it. It took a couple months, probably due to COVID, but it flew by since I didn’t have to worry anymore, I just had to wait for my new car to come in. Matt arranged everything, walked me thru the entire process of surrendering my old car and getting my brand new car! Matt was there, not physically (I live 4 hrs away) but email/phone/text Matt was right there through the entire process! TODAY I AM DRIVING A 2021 SUBARU OUTBACK that I designed myself!! I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Matt’s help! I AM FOREVER THANKFUL!!! MATT IS THE BEST ATTORNEY AND IN THE END, A TRUE HERO AND FRIEND!!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
