Overview

William C. "Bill" Gore, Jr. is a lifelong resident of Columbus County and has devoted his entire career to the North Carolina Courts system. After several years as a prosecutor, twenty-seven years as a judge, and two years as the commissioner of the North Carolina DMV, Bill Gore is now a private attorney who spends his days advocating for his clients in southeastern North Carolina. More than forty years into his legal career, his experience is unparallelled. Most of his practice is devoted to criminal defense, taking on every type of case from simple traffic tickets to capital murder cases and every type in between. His time at the DMV gave Mr. Gore great insight into the inner workings of DMV, and he regularly addresses license restoration and represents clients at DMV hearings. Additionally, Mr. Gore's takes serious personal injury and wrongful death cases. He helps families address injuries and wade through the legal complications that follow a tragedy. Over the past several years, he has developed a niche practice in representing those who were incarcerated in the county jails or prison system of North Carolina and who have been injured or killed either by medical malpractice or intentional torts of corrections officers during their time behind bars.
