Overview

Joshua T. Simmons completed his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana before obtaining his Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law. In 2007, Attorney Joshua T. Simmons was admitted to the Florida Bar. In 2008, he was admitted to the North Carolina Bar. He is also admitted to the Federal Middle District of North Carolina.

Joshua T. Simmons’ legal career started at the Office of the Public Defender in the 20th Judicial Circuit in Lee County, Florida. He worked along side with a few select assistant Public Defenders in a specialized group that represented clients charged with sex offenses, many of the which were facing mandatory punishable by life sentences.

Since that time, Attorney Simmons has successfully represented clients in MultiDistrict Litigation (MDLs), getting results in product liability litigation involving such claims as vagina mesh cases. He feels most at home representing clients in the courtroom. To that end, most of his time is spent litigating criminal cases, high conflict custody cases, DUIs, and personal injury cases. Additionally, he also represents parents that are in the process or have had their children removed from them by the Department of Social Services; and has the inside information to advise the parent how to successfully complete the steps necessary to have their children returned home.
