Hired Law firm 2010-2023had workers comp claims which Nicholas was handling - two cases where i was assaulted by students. the school district would only only settle if i gave up my job, which i couldnt do. nick advised me to wait until i retired to finish up my claims. well, there is a statute of limitations on filing claims which Nicholas did not inform me would happen. he even said he didnt know about the statute of limitations. HOW ARE YOU A WORKERS COMP LAWYER AND NOT KNOW ABOUT A STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS???? thanks, nick!!

Hired Law firm 2018-2021My parents have never sued anyone in their lives. But when they were hit and hurt so bad that that my dad pstd from Vietnam came flying back this firm dropped the ball. I hit a lady 25 years ago and barely scratched the paint as a 17 year old and that person got 25 thousand. This firm only got 2 70 plus year olds who have legit injuries(my mom is still hurt),... All legal jargon aside they basically forced my parents to settle . .only saying if they went forward maybe a few thousand more. In my opinion (former pre law student) this firm at best didbthe job but not very well. In truth if my parents settled with the insurance company they would have made more. I would never if you had a gun to my head ever recommend such a poor excuse for a law firm. I highly recommend anyone and everyone to stay away from them.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
