Overview
Ed, a Lorain, Ohio native, joined the firm in 1991. His practice focuses in employment, corporate, and commercial law. He concentrates in the area of workers’ compensation law where he counsels employers regarding their workers’ compensation programs. Ed has been certified as a specialist in Ohio Workers’ Compensation by the Ohio State Bar Association. He is a member of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Jackson-Belden Chamber of Commerce, and the Massillon area Chamber of Commerce. Ed is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Massillon Museum and has been active with the Massillon Museum for several years. Ed is member of the 8th Graduating Class of Leadership Stark County and has remained active with that organization as a past member of the Programming Committee, Economic Development Committee, and as Program Chair of the Justice and Safety Day committee. Ed is past Chairman (2006-2007) of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Festival’s Timken Grand Parade Committee, and has been an active volunteer for the Pro Football Hall Of Fame since 1992, having served in a number of leadership positions. Ed was named to the list of Ohio Super Lawyers (2009 & 2010) and one of Ohio Rising Stars (2005) by Cincinnati Magazine and Ohio Super Lawyers. Also, Ed has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America (2008-2011).
Ed received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Ohio State University and his Juris Doctorate, with honors, from The Ohio State University School of Law, where he was active in the law student division of the Ohio State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Stark County Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, the Stark County Safety Council, as well as the Self Insured Group of Ohio and the Workers’ Compensation Forum.
Ed, his wife Tamara, and their children Cicily, Edward Liam, and Casey Claire reside in Jackson Township.
