Overview

Fred is a director and chairman of the corporate section at the firm. His practice is focused primarily in the health care, professional and general corporate, mergers and acquisitions and estate planning areas of the law. He frequently speaks to professional and civic groups on health care and general corporate issues, small business law, and estate planning.

A graduate of The University of Mount Union, Fred received his Juris Doctorate degree from Western Reserve University School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif legal honorary.

He is a member of the Stark County Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association, serving on the Corporate Law Sections of both groups. He is also a member of the National Health Care Lawyers Association and is a Fellow of the Ohio Bar Foundation. Fred has been selected by his peers for inclusion in Best Lawyers in America.

Fred is extremely active in community affairs. He has served on the Board of Trustees for The University of Mount Union since 1978, was chairman of the Board from 1992 until 2002, is a member of its Executive Committee, and was the 1997 recipient of its Alumni Service Award. In 2002 he was commencement speaker at The University of Mount Union and was conferred an Honorary Doctor of Laws. He is past President and Board member of the Jackson-Belden Chamber of Commerce, and received the 1997 Outstanding Chamber Member Award. He is also past Chairman of the Jackson-Belden Food Fest Committee. He was the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, past Chairman of the Hall of Fame Festival Enshrinees Civic Dinner Committee, Past President of Congress Lake Club, and Past General Chairman for the Wilderness Center Auction and Dinner.

Fred and his wife Victoria reside in Hartville and have three adult children.
