John Bogniard - Canton, OH

John is a director and a former managing director of the firm. His practice focuses in the labor and corporate fields. He has substantial experience representing management in labor negotiations, arbitration, employment discrimination, union election campaigns, as well as various other aspects of employment law. John lectures frequently on a wide range of employment issues including employment discrimination, the Family and Medical Leave Acts, employee drug testing and wrongful discharge. In the general corporate area, he handles a variety of legal issues including acquisitions, commercial leases, and all types of business contracts.

John received his undergraduate degree from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. He graduated cum laude from the Ohio State University School of Law. He is an active member of the Stark County Bar Association, serving on the Corporate Law Committee. He also serves on labor and corporate sections of the Ohio State Bar Association. John has been selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America (2008, 2009, 2010) and has been named to the prestigious list of Ohio Super Lawyers (2010).

John served as Chairman, and continues to serve as a Director for the AAA Ohio Auto Club, and the Board of Directors of Gregory Industries, Inc. He is a member of the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Legislative Committee and Labor and Employment Task Force. John is a former member of the North Canton Planning Commission, the Congress Lake Board of Directors, and has chaired the United Way Legal Division Campaign.

John and his wife, Diane, reside in North Canton, Ohio.
