Matt joined Krugliak, Wilkins, Griffiths & Dougherty Co., L.P.A. in 2016 after graduating at the top of his law school class and was named a Director-Shareholder of the firm in 2023. Matt serves as the chair of the firm’s Marketing Committee. His practice focuses on serving business owners and their companies. Matt routinely serves as outside general counsel for many companies on a wide range of business and real estate transactions and works closely with other practice sections within the firm that specialize in workers’ compensation, labor and employment, litigation, tax matters, and estate planning to ensure that his clients are supported and well represented across all areas of the law.
Professional Experience
- Assists business owners in all aspects of their business including, entity selection, formation, contract negotiations, mergers and acquisitions, business and succession planning.
- Advises on corporate organizing and reorganizing, stock/unit purchase and redemption agreements, close corporation agreements and operating agreements, and buy-sell agreements.
- Provides representation to manufacturing and service industry clients as corporate counsel, including in the negotiation & preparation of business-related contracts such as employment and non-competition agreements, supply, distribution, and vendor agreements, standard terms and conditions of sale or supply, and loan and financing agreements.
- Counsel clients in the merger, sale, or acquisition of assets or equity of businesses, including the application of business and tax principles in assessing the viability and effect of the proposed merger or acquisition.
- Acts as legal counsel for non-profit organizations.
- Assists real estate clients with development, purchase agreements and leases for residential and commercial transactions.
