Attorney Information
Overview
Deepak was born and raised in greater Cincinnati. He graduated from Covington Latin School in 1984 and went to college at Northern Kentucky University. There, he became a leader in the University Honors Program and received the prestigious Exemplar Award his senior year.
After graduating from NKU, Deepak attended the Salmon P. Chase College of Law. As a first-year law student, he won the award for Best Oral Advocate at the annual Moot Court competition. He continued to excel throughout his law school career and graduated number one in his class.
After law school, Deepak entered the business world. There he learned the ins and outs of running a closely held business with four locations across the Midwest, and that generated seven million dollars annually in revenue.
For the past 20 years, Deepak has used the hands-on knowledge he gained in the business world to help business clients meet all their legal needs. From contract negotiation to commercial litigation, Deepak has a unique skill set that protects his clients' interests.
Deepak also practices law in the public sector and has represented multiple villages, cities, and townships throughout Ohio. His unique legal knowledge regarding real estate, zoning, eminent domain, and the legislative process provides significant value to business clients dealing with local governments, as well as public entities engaged in economic development and infrastructure improvement.
For the past 10 years, Deepak has focused his employment law practice on advising employers during the pre-termination process and counseling them on various federal and state laws such as the FMLA, the ADA, and the Equal Pay Act. He is also retained by national insurance companies to defend employers they insure against discrimination and wrongful termination claims, as well as to assist with charges filed with the NLRB, the EEOC, and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
