Overview

Jim is a founding member of the firm, concentrating his practice in the areas of civil litigation and business law at the trial and appellate levels and in mediations and arbitrations. Jim has extensive experience in handling a wide variety of civil litigation, in state and federal courts, including contract disputes, construction, probate, real estate, employment, and insurance coverage. Jim has represented individuals, attorneys, public and privately owned businesses, financial institutions, insurance companies, builders, and developers.

Jim received his B.S. from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and graduated cum laude from the Western Michigan University - Thomas M. Cooley Law School, where he served as Case Notes Editor for the Thomas M. Cooley Law Review and Chair of the Scholastic Review Board. Jim values service to the community and currently serves on the following boards:

  • Atrium Medical Center Foundation Board (Past Chair and current Chair, Annual Fund Committee)

  • Middletown Area of Junior Achievement Board
