Jimmy Lefton’s practice is concentrated in Family Law, Personal Injury and General Civil Litigation.
His Family Law practice encompasses all types of Family Law Matters, including Divorces (contested and uncontested), Dissolutions, Change in Custody, Grandparent Rights, Child Support Establishment and Modification, Spousal Support, Paternity and Adoption. He has litigated before all of the Domestic Relations and Juvenile Court Judges and Magistrates in Hamilton, Butler, Warren and Clermont Counties.
Jimmy is a goal oriented Family Law Practitioner. Working with clients and identifying their objectives allows Mr. Lefton to customize his legal service and advice to best serve the needs of the client. Most clients would rather avoid the time, cost and drama of litigating Family Law matters. Therefore, Mr. Lefton works very hard with his clients to explore every opportunity to resolve issues out of court.
Jimmy also handles major personal injury matters including Auto Accident, Slip and Fall, Dog Bites, Wrongful death, Birth Injury, Brain Damage other catastrophic injuries.
While attending law school, Jimmy worked as an Assistant Attorney for the City of East Lansing, Michigan. Also while in law school, he was elected to a two year term on the school’s Law Review.
Prior to joining Barron Peck Bennie & Schlemmer, Jimmy worked as an assistant Prosecutor for Joseph Deters in the Hamilton County Prosecutors Office.
Jimmy is married with 3 children. He is very active in his community where he devotes a majority of his personal time to coaching youth sports including baseball, football and basketball. He is a board member of the Sycamore Athletic Club, Youth Basketball Organization.
