Josh is particularly honored to represent individuals and families who have been harmed when healthcare providers fail to meet their legal and professional obligations.

He represents patients and families who have suffered harm as a result of surgical errors, delayed diagnoses, misdiagnoses, delayed treatment, or improper medical care. Medical malpractice cases often require a thorough understanding of complicated medical issues. Josh works closely with qualified medical experts to determine whether the care provided met the applicable standard and, when it did not, to establish how that failure caused harm.

Josh is deeply committed to representing people who have been abused or neglected by long-term care facilities, including nursing homes. He has successfully litigated cases involving serious injuries and wrongful death, including cases in which inadequate care has caused devastating consequences for residents and their families.

For Josh, these cases are about more than obtaining compensation. Holding a nursing home or long-term care facility accountable can help prevent the same failures from harming another resident. When appropriate, he works to uncover the circumstances that led to a resident's injury, identify those responsible, and pursue meaningful accountability on behalf of the family.

Josh also represents clients in family law matters, including contested divorces, child custody disputes, and juvenile matters involving allegations of dependency, neglect, or abuse. Having tried divorce and custody cases involving significant financial and family issues, he understands that these matters involve far more than legal issues—they can affect a client's finances, relationship with their children, home, and future stability.

He helps clients navigate the financial and emotional complexities of divorce, including the division of marital assets, maintenance and spousal support, and custody disputes. Josh's approach is straightforward: understand the client's priorities, protect what matters most, and be prepared to advocate in court when a fair resolution cannot be reached through negotiation.

Licensed to practice in all state courts in Ohio and Kentucky, and in the Federal District Courts of the Eastern District of Kentucky and the Sothern District of Ohio, Josh represents clients in a variety of matters including personal injury, insurance coverage disputes, contract and UCC matters, and real estate disputes.

Outside the Practice of Law

Originally from East Tennessee, Josh and his family reside in Northern Kentucky. Life outside the office is rarely quiet with two boys under 10 keeping things busy at home. Family is an important part of both his professional and personal life.

And then there is the University of Tennessee. Many people have suggested that, for Josh, the most important “unimportant” thing in life may be the Tennessee Volunteers. Josh has declined to confirm or deny that allegation.
