Overview
Drawing on a Diverse Legal and Professional Background to Help Injured Ohio Workers
David Wolfram is an Associate Attorney at NRS Injury Law, focusing on workers’ compensation law. Methodical, process-oriented, and possessing a knack for research, details, and case-building, David helps injured Ohio workers by crafting compelling, data-driven case strategies that result in injured workers obtaining the compensation they deserve.
Combining a Diverse Career Background in Helping Others via Workers’ Comp Law
After over two decades of serving in various corporate positions, David went to law school in his 40s to live out his ambition of becoming an attorney and giving back to others as others have helped him. His path into and through law school was influenced by his early years. “We experienced adversity when I was a child,” David said. “Some days it got so bad our utilities would be shut off. Thankfully, there were a lot of people in the community who helped us, and those experiences impacted me and planted the seed of being a service-minded person. Additionally, when my mother was injured at work, a workers’ comp attorney made a big difference in our lives. The attorney helped guide her through the process, advocated for the needed surgical treatment, and was the instrument to her getting her life back.”
David worked in the trades after graduating high school, then went on to become a first-generation college graduate. After building up an impressive resume in the business world, David watched as his mother went to college to achieve her degree in social work. Inspired, David returned to academia by attending law school, intent on entering the legal field to help others.
Leveraging a Mind for Research and a Knack for Strategy to Win Cases for Injured Workers
After working as a family law attorney, David now represents Ohioans injured in the line of work. He spends much of his time studying, researching, examining cases, and generating solutions based on his findings. Building on his background in business leadership roles, David knows how to craft a compelling strategy and execute it successfully. Bolstered by his deep empathy and ability to relate to injured workers in Ohio, David brings these skills and capacities to bear daily in his work for NRS Injury Law.
“The founding members are truly committed to helping others,” David said when asked why he took a job with the firm. “This firm embodies my values of helping others. It’s not a legal firm that operates as just another business. NRS Injury Law is a center of advocacy for injured workers in Ohio. The firm delivers the best possible service to its clients that it can, and thanks to the size of the firm, the dedication of its employees, and the resources it brings to bear, that service is above and beyond what most expect from a legal firm.”
Work/Life Balance
When he’s not representing injured workers as an attorney, David enjoys remodeling his home and finding other ways to work with his hands, be it on his projects or projects for community members. David also collects coins, reads, and studies new ways of solving problems. When the weather’s right, he enjoys exploring Cleveland Metroparks.
Don’t Wait to Seek Legal Help from David Wolfram
After taking numerous clinics in law school, competing in moot court, and excelling in client counseling competitions, David took the Universal Bar Exam (UBE) in 2022. He passed it on the first try, enabling him to practice law in any UBE jurisdiction. As a practicing attorney, David’s problem-solving and process-driven nature combined with his lifelong interest in helping people all align perfectly with NRS Injury Law’s mission to: “Provide empathetic and patient service to every person who calls the firm, and to relentlessly pursue the best possible outcome on behalf of every client by putting collective experience, knowledge, and passion to work every day.” To retain an effective legal team with a proven track record and to speak with David and the firm about your case, call 855-468-4878 or fill out a convenient online contact form.
Community Impact
Coming from an upbringing where the good graces of others were, at times, essential, David understands the importance of giving back. Before he became an attorney, David spent his free time volunteering at homeless shelters. David’s carpentry experience helped him immensely when volunteering on Habitat for Humanity projects. Today, David helps people with their home projects, and he assists others with brainstorming business and product ideas and strategies. Given his background in family law, he’s interested in philanthropic and volunteer activities that help others have better opportunities in life.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
