Attorney Information

Overview

Kyleigh Weinfurtner is the Managing Partner of Zashin Law. Her practice is focused on strategically navigating clients through all areas of family law matters.

Kyleigh has a particular strength in handling matters involving complex financials, such as executive compensation, business valuations and diversified investments. Her experience and knowledge in these matters allow her to comprehensively advise clients, whether representing the participant or the spouse. Kyleigh has handled a variety of financially complex matters, including, estates in excess of $500M, compensation and estates of professional athletes, business valuations of publicly and privately held interests, tracing premarital assets, and determining the fair market value of contracts pertaining to executive compensation. In addition to her sophisticated knowledge of finances, Kyleigh also focuses her practice on challenging parenting matters. She has successfully litigated matters of parental alienation to terminate a parent’s rights to custody and parenting time. Kyleigh does not shy away from litigation but preaches strategy over reaction in the handling of matters.

Kyleigh is frequently sought after to lecture at continuing education seminars on various topics. She was appointed as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Case Western Reserve University in 2020 and enjoys the opportunity to work with future professionals.

Kyleigh and her family enjoy life in a small township, prioritizing their time together and all things sports. She is an avid fan of her beloved New York Giants, a season ticket holder for the Cavs and has an inherited passion for the Tribe. She loves hosting friends and family and cooking far more food than appropriate. She has an extensive bourbon collection and can frequently be found playing golf with her husband.

When viewing a listing, consider the state advertising restrictions to which lawyers and law firms must adhere, as well as our FindLaw.com Legal Directory disclaimer. Some lawyers publish comparative information regarding the services that they provide which may be subject to specific comparative communications restrictions.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
