Hired Law firm 2003-2019Dennis McNamara is an amazing lawyer. He has handled many cases for me and other family members and friends. Even when I was not able to hire him he was still there to advise me and help me make sure I don't get railroaded by the prosecution. I highly recommend Dennis McNamara. Thx for evening.

Hired Law firm 2015Hired for a felony trial. He was very informative about the case. How long it would take, the games the prosecutor will play, the funds needed to get the expert witnesses and subject matter experts. He did the research, dug in deep and went to the mat to win this case. Even when the prosecution wanted to plea out because they knew they had a soft case, Colin called their bluff and we took it to trial. The facts were all in and won!!

Hired Law firm 2017-2019I've had the pleasure of working with Colin McNamee on 2 separate occasions. The first one was a dui that he was able to get reduced to a reckless opp with none of the dui penalties. The second time the state tried to charge me with 2 DUI's and a PerSe dui. Colin was able to get them reduced to 1 dui and a reduced license suspension. I highly recommend Colin McNamee for representation and I cannot thank him enough for all he has done.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
