Overview
For more than 35 years, Attorney Trisha M. Duff has been helping individuals and families throughout the Greater Dayton area navigate some of life’s most difficult legal challenges. Whether guiding clients through divorce, child custody disputes, dissolutions, or other family law matters, she combines compassionate counsel with meticulous preparation and confident courtroom advocacy to help clients achieve the best possible outcome.
Ms. Duff’s extensive experience gives her a unique perspective that few family law attorneys can offer. In addition to representing clients, she has served as a Magistrate, Acting Judge, and Guardian ad Litem, providing her with valuable insight into how family law cases are evaluated and decided. She is also a fully trained mediator, helping individuals resolve disputes efficiently and constructively, whether they are already involved in litigation or seeking an alternative to the courtroom.
Ms. Duff earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton School of Law. While in law school, she received the prestigious American Jurisprudence Awards in both Conflicts of Law and Evidence and was recognized as a Touche Ross Scholar. During her second and third years of law school, she served as a staff attorney for the Montgomery County Domestic Relations Court. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from The Ohio State University, where she was named to the Dean’s List and competed on the university’s Equestrian Team.
Before joining Bieser Greer in 2013, Ms. Duff successfully operated her own family law practice for more than two decades. During that time, she also served as an Acting Judge for both the Western and Eastern Divisions of the Montgomery County Area Courts, Law Director and Prosecuting Attorney for the City of Vandalia, a member of the Village of New Lebanon Planning Commission, and a frequent speaker at legal education seminars.
Ms. Duff remains deeply committed to the legal profession and the Dayton community. She is an active member of the Stanley Z. Greenberg Family Law Forum, the Ohio State Bar Association and its Family Law Committee, the Dayton Bar Association and its Family Law Committee, and the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project. In recognition of her commitment to expanding access to justice, she was honored as the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project’s 2023 Volunteer of the Year. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Crayons to Classrooms and previously served on the Dayton Bar Association’s Certified Grievance Committee.
