Overview
Lori A. Pinjuh has been managing owner of The Pinjuh Law Firm, LLC since September 2012, and has over 25 years of experience in the immigration field. She initially practiced immigration law in the DC area at a boutique immigration law firm and later joined a nationally known firm in Ohio, prior to opening her own firm. Ms. Pinjuh has managed cases for employment petitions both for nonimmigrant petitions such as E-1/E-2, H1B, H3, L-1A and L1B, TN, O-1, R-1, P1, P-3 and immigrant petitions both through labor certification (PERM) and through Immigrant petitions such as EB-1 Extraordinary Ability, Outstanding Researcher and International Transferee, EB-2 National Interest Waiver, Special Religious Worker petitions and Entrepreneur EB5 petitions. Ms. Pinjuh also has extensive knowledge in consular processing both nonimmigrant and immigrant visas, waivers of inadmissibility, complex family petitions, student visa issues, adjustment of status, citizenship determinations and naturalization cases.
Ms. Pinjuh holds a B.S. from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. from Syracuse University, College of Law. Her professional memberships include the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where she was Ohio Chapter Secretary (2003-2005), the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and formerly with the Maryland State Bar Association. Ms. Pinjuh serves on the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association Grievance Committee, has served as the Co-Chair for the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee (2007-08), has served as Chair of the Immigration Law Section (2008-2010), and previously chaired many CLE events.
Ms. Pinjuh has participated in volunteer activities for MDA Fundraisers, Battered Women's shelters, AILA Ohio Citizenship Day for more than 10 years bi-annually, has previously served as an Officer for the AILA Ohio Chapter, and continues to volunteer at the Legal Aid Society for the pro-bono immigration legal services program.
Ms. Pinjuh was named an Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star by Cincinnati Magazine 2005 and has been selected to The Best Lawyers in America in Immigration Law consecutively since 2008. The Pinjuh Law Firm, LLC has been consecutively named Best Law Firm in Immigration Law since 2014 published by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers. In 2015, Ms. Pinjuh was selected as Cleveland's Lawyer of the Year in Immigration Law. During her academic career, Ms. Pinjuh was honored with awards such as induction into the Order of Barristers (1 of 10), the LFE Goldie Memorial Award (International Legal interests), the Legislative Research Service Award (journal), and the Robert W. Miller Award (Moot Court Board).
Ms. Pinjuh has made numerous immigration presentations for the Federal Bar Association, Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association, NAPABA, Hispanic Bar Association, area universities and colleges, the Northeast Ohio Regional SHRM Conference, and the SHRM Global Forum.
