Attorney Information
Overview
For more than 25 years, I have dedicated my legal career to helping injured people through their toughest of times and darkest of moments. A fundamental value I hold close to my heart is genuinely caring for my clients. I understand what it feels like when you are seriously injured or when a family member or loved one is killed due to someone else's fault. This is when you need an attorney who genuinely cares about your needs and who is committed to ethically and aggressively pursuing your legal rights. This is what my law firm does, and we do it well.
My firm represents clients not only in Cleveland, Lakewood and Northeast Ohio, but also throughout Ohio, including in Akron, Canton, Medina, Youngstown, Columbus, Toledo, Dayton and Cincinnati. We take on causes, not simply cases. We work tirelessly to investigate and pursue your claims. No stones are left unturned.
I graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1996 and have been practicing law in Ohio ever since. Before entering private practice, I worked as a Judicial Staff Attorney for two respected Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judges so I could learn the inner workings of Ohio's court system. Not long after entering private practice, I was elected President of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys. I currently serve on the Board of Trustees for the Ohio Association for Justice, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting for the rights of Ohioans who are seriously injured through no fault of their own.
The human element I bring to my law practice extends to my personal life. When I am not practicing law, I am actively involved in my community, spending time with my family, supporting Ohio's sports teams and cultural diversity, and writing and playing original music with my band, Robbing Mary. I am beyond thankful that my family and former clients actively support what I do for a living. These strong relationships make me count my blessings on a daily basis and make me a better person and a better lawyer for my diverse clients.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
