Attorney Information
Overview
Justin Sanders focuses his practice on wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases, mostly involving serious car and truck wrecks. Justin has a long record of success helping families who have suffered injury through no fault of their own and extensive courtroom and first chair jury trial experience. Since joining Rittgers Rittgers & Nakajima in 2021, Justin has helped recover tens of millions of dollars in compensation for his clients. Justin has achieved multi-million dollar outcomes in various types of cases, including truck crashes, slip-and-falls, dram shop, and more.
Justin graduated from the University of Kentucky and was a pitcher on the Wildcats baseball team. He earned a spot on the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll each year while at UK. In 2004, Justin graduated from the Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California.
After law school, Justin moved back home and joined his family's law practice at The Sanders Law Firm. There, he learned litigation and trial skills from his father, Bob Sanders, one of the premier plaintiff injury trial attorneys in the Tri-state, with several multi-million-dollar jury verdicts throughout Kentucky and Ohio. Justin gained additional courtroom and jury trial experience as a felony prosecutor in the Kenton County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, where he worked closely with his brother Rob Sanders. Justin successfully prosecuted numerous felonies, including burglary, child abuse, animal torture, and murder.
Justin is a member of several national and state trial lawyer organizations dedicated to protecting citizens' 7th Amendment right to trial by jury. He also volunteers as a facilitator at the American Youth Foundation’s (AYF) annual National Leadership Conference in Shelby, Michigan, and was recently elected to the AYF’s Board of Directors.
Justin is a Northern Kentucky native. He and his wife, Meredith, live in Crestview Hills with their two children. In his spare time, he can usually be found browsing local bookstores, cheering on his hometown sports teams (FC Cincinnati, Reds, and Bengals), or riding roller coasters with his kids at Kings Island.
"Dedication and service to my clients is what motivates me every day. The families I represent are usually going through the most difficult period in their lives. It's extremely important to me that I do my best to help relieve the added burden and stress they feel during litigation, while working hard to achieve the best outcome possible for them."
