Hello, my name is Attorney Jeremy Burnside. I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, and have since moved to Scioto County to provide valuable legal care in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death and criminal law. I'm located in the historic Bourgholtzer House (Est. 1849), directly across the street from the Scioto County Courthouse in downtown Portsmouth, Ohio. You can easily reach my office from US Rt. 23 and US Rt. 52 for all of your legal needs. I'm readily available for consultation and my clients are comforted by having direct contact with their lawyer. In cases involving wrongful death, medical malpractice and serious injury, home, weeknight and weekend visits are available. On these cases, I work on a contingency fee basis. This means if you don't get paid, I don't get paid.
DON'T trust the insurance companies.
Many people who are involved in car accidents don't realize that they're injured until several days after the collision. The longer these victims wait before getting treated by a medical provider, the more likely it is that an insurance company will not pay out on medical bills. Don't be victimized twice. Call me today. If you don't know where to look for treatment, contact me and I can possibly point you in the right direction to proper medical care and treatment.
DO speak to someone who can help you.
This does not include insurance adjusters. They are paid by their billion-dollar bosses to minimize your recovery. Many adjusters are paid bonuses for the amount of minimal recoveries they are able to convince victims to accept. Many such victims have permanent injuries and were either pressured to accept the settlement or simply didn't take the time to know and understand their rights. The more insurance adjusters are successful in settling potentially large claims for minimal amounts, the more money the insurance companies save from the billions and billions they receive from premiums and can therefore use to buy naming rights to ballparks, fancy commercials and ultimately place large bonuses in the pockets of their executives. Talk to a lawyer to ensure you're not helping the insurance industry pad its pockets by settling your claim for less than it is worth.

My hours are tailored to meet my client's needs. I'm available for weekend, weeknight, home and hospital visits. Please call 740-353-2363 to set up an appointment that will suit your needs. If I am not available, I'm probably in court. As a proud trial lawyer, I pride myself in my courtroom and litigation experience. Hopefully that will not be necessary in your potential case.
I look forward to speaking with you!
