Kate spent the first seven years of her legal career in private practice with a criminal and civil defense firm located in Cleveland, Ohio, where she effectively managed high-stakes pre-trial litigation, discovery, and case strategy for criminal and complex civil matters. Immediately prior to joining Ohio Legal Group, Kate served as the Assistant Director at Cleveland State University College of Law’s Pardon, Clemency, & Reentry Clinic, where she represented clients involved in pardon, clemency, and expungement proceedings.
Kate’s professional leadership extends to her role as Treasurer for the Ohio Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (OACDL), where she has helped oversee the organization’s fiscal management and participated in executive decision-making processes.
She has been an active contributor to the legal field through various publications, including the OACDL’s Vindicator and the CMBA Bar Journal, and she is a sought-after speaker for legal conferences hosted by the OACDL across Northeast Ohio.
