After earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from the University of Cincinnati and managing large-scale commercial construction projects across the U.S., John spent three years serving as a Water Resources Engineer in the United States Peace Corps in Africa, where he focused on environmental health and water/food security initiatives.

Inspired by his time in the Peace Corps, John pursued a law degree and earned his Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law. His legal career began with a focus on international human rights and environmental law but quickly shifted to helping local families in need.

Since 2018, John has focused exclusively on domestic relations and family law, representing clients in complex, high-asset divorces and highly contested custody matters. His experience extends far beyond the ordinary issues of marital property division and allocation of parental rights and responsibilities and includes navigating sensitive disputes involving domestic violence, trauma, and abuse, forensic psychology, severe income disparities, intricate trust and estate issues, adoptions, contested child name-changes, non-parent custody cases, and the drafting and enforcement of pre- and postnuptial agreements.
