Overview
Heather Hillburn Burrage is a 1995 graduate of Colbert High School and a 1999 graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She went on to graduate, with honors, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law with a Juris Doctorate, in 2002. While attending the University of Oklahoma, Heather was involved in appellate advocacy competitions and was named to the Order of Barristers. She began her practice of law in Durant in 2002 with her father-in-law, Michael Burrage, and her husband, David Burrage. She is a member of the Bryan County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Bar Association. She was also named as a top 100 Super Lawyer in the State of Oklahoma in 2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Heather is a member of the Durant Education and Service Sorority and PEO Chapter GV and serves on the Board of Directors for the SOSU Alumni Association, the Miss Southeast Oklahoma Scholarship Pageant, the Crisis Control Center and Imagine Durant. Heather is the former Chair of the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Commission and is also a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America. She is an active member of the First United Methodist Church and energetically volunteers in her community. Heather specializes in general litigation and trial practice with an emphasis on banking and commercial litigation.
