Brant Elmore - Edmond, OK

Attorney Brant M. Elmore has been practicing law in Oklahoma for more than 25 years. During that time, he has served as a litigator, appellate counsel, and a judicial officer.

Brant began his career in South Oklahoma City in a general practice where he primarily defended people charged with crimes. He worked cases throughout the state and successfully tried cases in both federal and state courts. Brant also worked for the Oklahoma Indigent Defense System working appeals where he helped free a man from death row.

Brant litigated cases as a prosecutor. He was the Managing Assistant District Attorney in Garvin County. Brant served as a prosecutor in the “Ballcap Bandit” cases. He worked death penalty cases as Assistant Attorney General. Promoted to Senior Assistant Attorney General, Brant prosecuted cases before the State’s Multicounty Grand Jury. Serving as Assistant District Attorney in Oklahoma County, he ensured that all defendants, past or present, received a fair and just trial. In 2023, Brant participated in the vacation of Glynn Simmons conviction for murder.

Brant was a staff attorney for Judge Gary L. Lumpkin on the Court of Criminal Appeals. He served as a Referee for the Oklahoma Supreme Court holding hearings on both legal and political issues. Brant was an Administrative Law Judge with the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

Coming full circle, Brant returned to criminal defense at Cannon & Associates. He seeks to leverage his experience to be a fierce advocate for his clients.
