Overview
Jake Denne is a dedicated attorney who discovered his passion for law and justice at a young age while growing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In 2018, he became a first-generation college graduate after earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Arkansas. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2022. While attending OU Law, Jake developed strong foundations in legal theory and practice. Jake passed the Uniform Bar Exam shortly after earning his Juris Doctor, and is licensed to practice in every jurisdiction in Oklahoma.
Throughout his academic career, Jake demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a passion for advocating for others. While attending the University of Arkansas, he was a member of the Associated Student Government and a recruitment chairman for the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was also a member of the National Political Science Honor Society, and graduated with a 4.0 GPA in the field. From 2019 to 2022, Jake was the sole recipient of the prestigious Cherokee Nation Foundation Businesses Scholarship due to his advocacy for the needs of underprivileged Native American communities in Oklahoma. While attending the OU Law, Jake sat as a member of both the Federalist Society and Constitutional Society, and received specialized, hands-on training in developing the attorney-client relationship.
Jake’s legal career has given him a uniquely diverse set of skills. He began his professional work in the fields of Criminal and Family law, which gave him the opportunity to help those in his community when they were at their most vulnerable. He then practiced Civil Defense—specializing in the complex field of Civil Rights—which gave him the opportunity to develop professional discipline and a strong work ethic. Now, he proudly has the privilege to represent individuals across Oklahoma who have been treated unjustly. With a strong ethical foundation and a commitment to ongoing professional growth, Jake is poised to continue developing as a trusted advocate for his clients.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
