Mr. Rankin is an attorney of exceptional integrity, extremely knowledgeable and very compassionate. He has been available during a long difficult case and years afterwards at a moments notice when we had an emergency. He was always there for us and always acted in our best interest. HIs office staff was very responsive and organized. Just can't say enough good things about this attorney.

    Recommends this Law firm
Randy Rankin is an exceptional attorney and leads by integrity always. He has been my attorney for almost four years, and was my dad’s attorney for many years before that. I chose him to represent me because of his moral character, uncontested knowledge of the law, and incredible compassion for his clients. He is very personable and quick to respond to calls, emails, and questions. I have had emergencies that needed quick attention and he saw to it flawlessly each time. He has gotten to know my entire family and has a lot of sensitivity to my case with my son. What stands out to me the most in using Randy is his attention to detail and ability to recall details of my case, especially in court. His son, Nik Rankin also handled an insurance medical claim case for me this past year and I was very pleased with its conclusion. The office staff is always very friendly when I call or come by to drop off documents. I recommend Randy and his son to everyone I know seeking legal advice.

Worst possible judge of character. Not only does he choose to represent people who just want to keep a good parent away from their children, he also hires them to work in his office. Only hire this ungodly waste of exsistence if you want a lawyer whose morals are corrupted by the desire to make a quick buck, and would take a case to keep good kids away from good parents. Only hire if you want a law office staffed by employees who act like children, who cannot co-parent even if enforced by law, who alienate thier own kids from loving parents. If the office and the lawyer cannot lead by example of what a healthy co-parenting relationship should look like, you should not hire them. Do not waste your money here on these garbage people, I would suggest you continue your search for representation that can actually help.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
