Consulted Attorney 2024I personally have an attorney representing me for matters regarding loan consolidation. In spite of the Fact that Capital One was notified in writing that they must negotiate with my attorney, not me, decided to serve me a summons, which I did not receive From this law firm instead they served my brother-in-law that has down syndrome! Today is Monday, April 29, 2024. He just served my brother-in-law on camera five minutes ago while I was in the park across the street. The paperwork says April 19 that’s 10 days Later than the notice, I have proof of this on camera, thank god For video cameras on doorbells! My attorney will be notified of the underhanded sleazy techniques that the attorneys for capital one use against regular people! If you’re looking for an attorney, these are definitely not the people you want to do business with unless you’re looking for someone that has absolutely no ethics or Morality. Taking advantage of someone with down syndrome to unwittingly serve someone via proxy is one of the lowest sleazy things I’ve ever witnessed there’s a special place in hades for this law firm of Jonathan Anderson and William Mark

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
