Consulted Law firm 2019-2021David G. Terry was highly recommended to me; so called to discuss my situation. Very knowledgable about law. He said " you can't afford me" without inquiring about my financial status; so recommended 3 attorneys in his office; that are very good. I selected Nick B Quinn and after 1.5 years of countless court appearances he quit on me 31 days before my last trial date. It's wrong to lie to a client who assumes their suppose to support and defend a client who throws down $4K of money to be not representing a honest citizen. Working for Emerald Valley Thinning logging on Roseburg Forest Products timberland as a slave/and illegal logging has entangled me in a nefarious situation to collect unpaid scammed wages. They say I stole something and press charges; so forced to retain counsel to fight vindictive prosecution for collecting back pay because I escaped slavery and horrific safety violations ever! Not happy with this firm's recommendations and resulting lack of any representation!

Hired Law firm 2016-2017After David represented a family member, I saw firsthand how good he is. He is personable, attentive, professional, and genuinely cares about his clients an their families. One of the hardest working people I know.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
