Cynthia L. Brennan - Berwyn, PA

CYNTHIA was raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She attended Moravian College, graduating in 1987 with a B.A. in Business and minors in Biology and French. In 1998, she obtained a Master’s degree in International Business from Point Park College where she graduated summa cum laude. After managing her family’s dental practice for a few years, she attended law school at The Thomas M. Cooley Law School and graduated in 1994. Cynthia graduated with honors, was a published member of the law review, and obtained American Jurisprudence awards in Research and Writing, Advocacy and Alternative Dispute Resolution. She also served as an editor of the Michigan Opinion Notes column in the statewide Michigan Bar Journal.

Cynthia has focused her entire 20 year career on defending healthcare providers, healthcare systems, hospitals and other medical entities in complex medical malpractice litigation and mass torts. In addition, she has defended other professional liability matters involving lawyers, insurance brokers and accountants.

Prior to joining the firm, she served as defense liaison counsel in litigation involving several consolidated mass torts including the statewide silicone breast implant litigation and the Philadelphia Coordinated Rezulin litigation. She further served as associate counsel in the first breast implant case tried in Pennsylvania in which a defense verdict was obtained. She also played a central role in the representation of Class 5 Physicians in the Dow Corning Bankruptcy Reorganization.

Cynthia is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. She is a member of Pennsylvania and Montgomery Bar Associations and currently serves on the Montgomery Bar Association Board of Directors.

On a pro bono basis, Ms. Brennan serves abused and neglected children through the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project. She also serves as a pro bono attorney for children involved in the Central American immigration crisis.
