Jeffrey L. Silberman - Blue Bell, PA

Jeffrey L. Silberman is a principal of the firm and a member of the Real Estate Transactions Department. Mr. Silberman concentrates his areas of expertise in real estate transactions, particularly commercial and retail leasing, acquisitions and dispositions of real property and financing. Mr. Silberman has participated in the development and leasing of some of the region's premier retail, office and industrial projects, such as Main Street at Exton, Upland Square, Uptown Worthington, The Shoppes at Brinton Lake and the only 2 new office buildings constructed in downtown West Chester in several decades.

Prior to joining Kaplin Stewart in 1996, he worked for Ballard, Spahr, Andrews & Ingersoll.

Mr. Silberman received his Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University in 1989. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from the Widener University School of Law in 1992, graduating magna cum laude. While at law school he served on the Executive Board of the Law Review.

Mr. Silberman is a member of the Pennsylvania State Bar Association and the Montgomery County Bar Association. He is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.

Mr. Silberman has had a Law Review Comment published in the Delaware Journal of Corporate Law and is a frequent writer in local real estate periodicals such as the MidAtlantic Real Estate Journal. Mr. Silberman has also spoken at numerous International Council of Shopping Centers Conferences on a variety of topics, including outparcel development, letters of intent and standard lease clauses such as assignment, exclusives and percentage rent.

Mr. Silberman lives with his wife, Elizabeth, daughter, Rachel and son, Jonathan in Lafayette Hill, PA.
