Overview
Thomas and Thomas, Attorneys At Law, is a law firm in existence since 1987. We offer personal and professional service to our clients and pride ourselves in dealing promptly and efficiently with our clients' legal matters. We are often able to schedule appointments with you the same day you call.
We serve the greater Lehigh Valley area and handle matters primarily in the counties of Northampton, Lehigh, Bucks, Carbon and Monroe. Our Social Security practice can include cases and claims from a wider geographic range including any claim originating in a Pennsylvania Social Security office.
Our office is located just across the street from the Northampton County Courthouse and we have unparalleled access to the courthouse, court records and the recorder of deeds office.
We have over 40 years combined experience and have handled thousands of matters for our clients including hearings, trials and appeals at all court levels, both in the Pennsylvania and federal court systems.
We understand that many matters require aggressive, fast legal representation and we are prepared to do this. We also understand that some matters require sensitivity and compassionate representation. We recognize that each case is unique and each client is dealt with as an individual.

Consulted Law firm 2023I want to say to all Veterans ( Like myself) That I contacted their office for a Consultation & Michelle called me back and was one of the kindest people I've ever met and kept everything so clear & simple when discussing my possible problem and I believe she was quite honest with her answers too. And If my possible problem doesn't exist , then for anything Legal I will be contacting her for Legal representation from her office regardless of what the legal matter may be at the time especially since it's very rare to find good people these days. So May I suggest that all Veterans & everyone contact them, If you have any legal matters.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
