Hired Law firm 2023I do not recommend Devin Uqdah to anyone. He is rude and not respectful of your time. He also still has my personal records that he never returned to me. He was a horrible attorney for criminal defense. Maybe that is not his lane but overall very horrible experience with him.

Consulted Law firm 2023-2024The Legis Group LLC - a Phila. Pa. Litigation Law Firm was professional and very supportive of my needs throughout every step of the process. I was facing a complex and I thought an insolvable legal situation. I had been trying to get it solved for years. Devin Uqdah navigated the complexities of the situation with ease and secured an appropriate outcome. I was particularly appreciative of his attention to my concerns and he achieved the best possible outcome in regards to those concerns. I most definitely and highly recommend this law firm and Devin Uqdah to others.

Hired Law firm 2023I hired Devin, one of their lawyers who promised to help me with the appeal case, he promised to take the case and ushered me to pay 900 dollars for the preparation of the case and 900 dollars for representing me at the courts, I noticed that he was hurrying me to make the payment to his account thank God I asked him to send me invoice with Legis law logo he would have denied it. I agreed with him, after making the payment he started refusing my calls until I sent him a text, and immediately called me that he would not be moving forward with my case, but why did you take the case when you knew that you were not competent? I was scammed by Devin and I will file a complaint to the disciplinary committees this is unethical.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
