Attorney Information

Overview

Bruce is a lifelong resident of Southern New Jersey and has been practicing family law for 25 years and is a divorced father who has a healthy relationship with his former wife. Early in his career, Bruce recognized the inefficiencies and inadequacies of the Family Court system as a means for helping spouses navigate the emotional, legal and financial issues in their divorces. He was determined to find a better way for people to resolve their differences other than in the traditional adversarial system which tends to rip families apart and create more animosity and ill feelings between divorcing spouses. In 1995, just 6 years into his legal career, Bruce attended a 40 hour Divorce Mediation training and has been mediating divorce and family law cases ever since. In 2011, upon learning about Collaborative Divorce, Bruce attending a training to become a Collaborative Attorney, and was instrumental in bringing Collaborative Divorce to South Jersey. Bruce is extremely proud of his accomplishments and successes as a Mediator, Collaborative Attorney, Arbitrator, Parenting Coordinator, and Litigator. Bruce’s focus and goal is to help his clients reach fair and equitable settlments, avoid the anxiey, stress and financial burden of litigation through the court, and spend less money on attorneys and more on themselves and their families. He takes the time to educate his clients on the law, explain the range of possible resolution of issues, the likely best and worst case scenarios, and works toward an amicable resolution of the issues based upon his client’s informed, rational, and reasonable decision, as well as his/her best interests. Bruce strives toward striking a healthy balance between effective negotiation and strong advocacy. When necessary and appropriate, he uses his knowledge, experience and strong advocacy skills in litigation. When necessary, Bruce is a tenacious advocate and litigator. His ability to effectively communicate with his clients, empathize, listen, provide personal service, analyze issues, and represent their interests with knowlegde and skill, has earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues, judges, and clients, as well as the gratitude of many of his former clients.
