Overview
David S. Mandel is the Firm's Managing Partner and also the Chairman of its Real Estate and Business Law Group. His real estate practice includes but is not limited to the following types of representations:
1) Representation of both landlords and tenants in the negotiation of shopping center leases;
2) Representation of clients in their sale, acquisition and financing of commercial and industrial real estate, including free standing buildings, pad sites and shopping centers;
3) Formation of condominiums for both residential and commercial use;
4) Formation of syndications for the acquisition and development of commercial real estate projects;
5) Representation of lenders and borrowers in loan transactions related to commercial real estate projects;
6) Preparation of real estate syndication documentation.
Mr. Mandel's business practice includes representation of clients in a variety of industries, including the entertainment industry (movie theaters, restaurants and bowling alleys), commercial printing, direct mail marketing, real estate brokerage and management, title insurance agencies, and retail (clothing stores, auto part stores, camera stores amongst others). He counsels clients on general corporate matters including types of business formation, preparation of partnership agreements, limited liability company operating agreements, limited partnership agreements, employment agreements, independent contractor agreements and vendor agreements. He has also been involved in mergers and acquisitions of a variety of sizes representing both the seller and buyer.
In addition, he has also been involved in commercial litigation matters including a recent matter which involved contracts for the sale of industrial real estate valued in the many tens of millions of dollars.
