Before joining McEldrew Purtell, Ian earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law. He began his legal career in 2005 as a law clerk with Wilkes & McHugh, P.A., where he researched and drafted numerous motions and briefs while gaining hands-on experience in all stages of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial. He later practiced as an attorney with Wilkes & McHugh from 2008 to 2013.
In 2013, Ian joined Reddick Moss, PLLC as the managing attorney of its Philadelphia office. In that role, he continued to litigate and try complex cases across the country, advocating for victims and their families until joining McEldrew Purtell in 2022.
