Overview
Mr. Richman’s practice is concentrated in the representation of individual employees, labor organizations and employee benefit funds in the public and private sectors. He has tried numerous cases to judges, federal and state administrative agencies and labor arbitrators.
He represents many labor organizations and employee benefit funds. He presently serves as labor counsel to the New Jersey State Fraternal Order of Police and counsel to numerous public and private sector labor unions and employee benefit funds.
He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New York and the District of Columbia; the United States Court of Appeals for the Third and D.C. Circuits; the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of Columbia.
Mr. Richman is a past President of the Philadelphia chapter of the Industrial Relations Research Association and also a past Chairman of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He has been appointed by the American Arbitration Association to serve on the Labor Advisory Council for Eastern Pennsylvania. He is also a Fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
Mr. Richman is listed in “Who’s Who in America,” “Who’s Who in American Law,” “The Best Lawyers in America,” “Philadelphia’s Best Lawyers,” and “Pennsylvania Super Lawyers.” He was designated by Best Lawyers as the Labor and Employment Lawyer of the year in 2012, 2015, 2019, 2020 and 2024. Mr. Richman has been a lecturer at the Temple University School of Law and the Pennsylvania State University on the subject of labor management relations and is a frequent lecturer at labor law seminars. He earned his B.S. Degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo and the J.D. Degree from the National Law Center of George Washington University.
