Scott J. Werner, Jr., Esq. brings extensive courtroom and trial experience to Hobbs Legacy Law Group, representing individuals, families, fiduciaries, landlords, business owners, and companies in a wide range of contested legal matters. Scott's practice focuses on Orphans' Court litigation, trust and estate disputes, guardianship matters, will contests, fiduciary litigation, business and commercial litigation, construction disputes, landlord-tenant matters, contract review and enforcement, and business formation and planning. Whether representing an executor defending an estate, a beneficiary challenging a fiduciary's conduct, a business owner involved in a commercial dispute, or a family navigating a contested guardianship proceeding, Scott combines meticulous preparation with strong courtroom advocacy to achieve results for his clients.

A Chester County native, Scott was born and raised in the region and graduated from Downingtown West High School before earning his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Pennsylvania State University. He subsequently earned his Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School.

Scott began his legal career in public service as an Assistant District Attorney and later First Assistant District Attorney for Tioga County. During that time, he served as a trial prosecutor, appellate prosecutor, and lead juvenile prosecutor. He later joined the Lycoming County District Attorney's Office, where he handled complex criminal matters and became the office's lead child abuse prosecutor.

Upon returning to southeastern Pennsylvania, Scott continued serving the community as an Assistant District Attorney in Chester County, prosecuting serious criminal matters involving narcotics trafficking, drug delivery resulting in death, domestic violence, and DUI offenses. These positions provided him with extensive trial experience and sharpened the litigation skills he now utilizes to advocate for clients in civil, business, trust, estate, and guardianship disputes.

Prior to joining Hobbs Legacy Law Group, Scott spent several years with a local litigation firm where he represented clients in criminal defense, guardianship matters, landlord-tenant disputes, and civil litigation. Today, he applies that broad litigation background to help individuals, families, fiduciaries, and business owners resolve legal challenges efficiently and effectively, whether through negotiation, mediation, or trial.
