I know how much work is involved in doing a Chapter 7 on your own, for the Pennsylvania Superior Court has addressed me as Esquire in the past. It could be done, but it is very time consuming for those of us that do not do it every day. Do yourself a favor and put your complete trust in Attorney Tullio DeLuca, Esquire. Attorney DeLuca and his Staff will do your Chapter 7 professionally. All you have to do, is do exactly what they tell you to do, do whatever in a timely manner, and your worries are over. Attorney DeLuca and his Staff make it as easy as possible. I first contacted Attorney DeLuca around the end of June and the Chapter 7 was Final on October 11th, which means that it only took about 3-1/3 months. I know someone who got an Attorney way back in the early 2000s, and it took about 5 months for her Chapter 7 to be Final. I paid Attorney DeLuca in 3 payments. The 1st payment was under $900, the 2nd monthly payment was $250, the 3rd monthly payment was $250, and believe me that it was well worth it...

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
