Hired Attorney 2013Many years ago I worked with Mr Roth. I found his bedside manner to be flippant and irritable. On one occasion he phoned me and said I was a shi!t sandwich. Yes, the attorney I hired to represent me called me a “sh!t sandwich.” I understand that some may find this humorous, but this is not what one would expect from a professional. Furthermore, when I severed ties with Mr. Roth after more than a year of him taking weeks to follow up on case-related matters, I met with a seasoned attorney in Westchester County who relayed that Mr. Roth has a terrible reputation. I can tolerate a level of profanity and colorful language, but not when it is directed at a paying customer. And certainly not when it’s coming from an attorney who showed no intention of resolving my matter. Mr. Roth does not have my recommendation.

Hired Attorney 2012-2015This lawyer will drag you around for years. It gives him personal satisfaction to control his clients. He wasted years of my life and I am left with permanent damage from an accident I had and in the end he made more money from my settlement than me. He is a pathological liar and will waste your time and money. Look elsewhere

Hired Attorney 2016-2022I was under the incline that I had hired Warren Roth. I must be naive because for my 1st disability trial I was sent a para legal that was young enough to be my son. I heard Mr. Roth was A "pitfall" if you will but I don't see it. None of my calls are returned & nobody seems to give a crap because I hear from no-one about the appeal. I understand COVID has caused delays but when I call to get a status of what's going on with my appeal I expect a call back. That was not the only question I had. I need someone I cam count on to respond and be involved in my case and I don't feel Im getting that here.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
