Interesting, just saw the above review from the other person, and I had a very similar scenario. Greg Davis and Aaron Blaise are very quick to take your money and make a bunch of promises that they will never fulfill and hardly even work on your case. I spent thousands upon thousands so that they could do nothing, miss deadlines, etc. They ruined my case and so did Barb Kiffmeyer. She is about the worst court appointed advisor imaginable. She did not even bother to read Dr. Weinstock who is in my opinion, the most amazing brilliant and caring attorney in the court system. None of them read this report that I spent thousands of dollars on to evaluate the father. As a result, the judge, Judge, Julian, who also did not read Dr. Weinstock’s report my daughter now lives in fear every day. She awarded 50% custody.to father who already had a substantiated abuse report from DCS. It is really sad what has happened to the court system and how these people are even involved but please if you love and want the best for your child, no matter what you do steer clear of all the people mentioned! I am happy to show anyone proof that would like to see how they destroyed my entire case and put my daughters life at risk!

Per federal litigation: Mr. Davis committed perjury and suborned perjury before the Family court. Further, Mr. Davis bribed the court appointed advisor, Barb Kiffmeyer to alter her opinion of child custody. Turns out Mr. Davis and Ms. Kiffmeyer are implicated in performing this scam for several years. Do not hire this attorney. And do not allow Ms. Kiffmeyer to be appointed in any case concerning custody of your child.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
