Mr. Myers was very helpful in working with me to renegotiate a physician employment agreement. He was very professional, and most importantly, accessible and prompt with replying to any issues or concerns. It was a pleasure working with him and I was very satisfied with the outcome of our negotiation. I strongly recommend him for contract negotiations or any of his other areas of expertise.

If you are in need of a lawyer that really knows the law and looks out for your best interests, let me recommend Matt Myers and Bob Lovett. They go the extra mile to be sure that they are correct in handling your case, I couldn't be happier with their performance and knowledge of all aspects of the laws. they are not your typical lawyers that only want to pad their pockets at my expense! Regardless of what type of a case you would need, I personally would want this team on my side and not opposing me. They handled my case to the end and I wish I could do more than just give them a good recommendation, they are not your normal lawyers that everyone gripes about, they are sincere and very professional, thanks!

Matt was very attentive to our needs & knew exactly what outcome we were looking for & he(& his staff) made this happen for us. He was instrumental in making sure a telecommunications tower wasn't erected next to us. He had everything done right to the last detail & would & will tell everyone if you need an excellent lawyer to see Matt Myers.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
