Consulted Law firm 2020-2021During the very stressful and confusing time of struggling with my health I was also attempting to deal with the Long Term Disability Insurance Company and their constant barrage of letters and phone calls. After an extensive search on the internet and reading what I could find I came across Herbert Hill, Attorney at Law who specializes in Disability Law. This was the number to call. Mr. Hill immediately came on the line and within minutes I felt very comfortable speaking with him regarding my Disability Claim Woes. Herbert Hill offered his time to discuss my concerns and allowing me to ask questions to which he has answered each one. I have since spoken with Mr. Hill to ask one or two quick questions and again, he has always taken the time to discuss my concerns. Neither I nor he is sure if this will lead to my requirement to retain council however, should it come to this, I can say without a doubt that the Herbert Hill Law Firm WILL BE my choice. If you find yourself in this type of stressful situation while simultaneously attempting to recover from a Long Term Health Event, do yourself the best favor that you can for yourself and call Herbert Hill. I honestly believe that it will be the best decision that you can make for both your financial and emotional concerns. On a personal note; Mr. Hill, I want to thank you for your help thus far and furthermore without ever making me feel pressured to sign on with your firm until such time as we both feel that the case has reached that stage.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
