My friend was right about Maggi and Diana, THEY ARE AWESOME!!! They made my experience super comfortable and pleasant. Maggi is very knowledgeable and witty! She has like POWER in the court! Maggi and Diana turned my fears into a positive control and I am grateful for them and my friend for recommending me to them. She fought hard in court like a pitbull! I love that she is blunt and honest, no bullsh**t! Even with COVID they were swift and expedited the court hearing which I REALLY appreciated. She prepared me and had my back 1000% in court. Maggi and Diana are warm and generous which made my experience super smooth. Maggi really cares and understands the difficulty and emotional strain I had and she made me feel that “I” matter. Thank you thank you 🙏

Terrible Service! Maggie Khallil is bitter and irrational. She has terrible judgement and is unprepared when it comes time to represent you. She doesn't have strong knowledge of the law and will misguide you. She left me half way into my case (she didn't have the experience or skill set to continue representation) and went after me for MORE money shortly after that. I had to retain two lawyers (to fix the damage she has done). Because of her bitter attitude (she wrote a disrespectful letter to a judge on my behalf) it landed me in jail and the lose of my daughter. I am a school teacher who has never broken the law. With the help of family and friends I was able to hire an appellate lawyer & reg. lawyer who worked together to clean the MESS that Maggie has created for me. PLEASE save yourself the time and money and interview another lawyer before going with this one. Maggie will not serve you. Good Luck! Lobna Akl

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
