Verified ClientHired Law firm 2016ADAM BECKMAN is a very hard-working, professional, and knowledgeable attorney. After my consultation with him, i had no need to go anywhere else, as I was confident he could help me. Adam is down to earth, honest and overall a rock star attorney!! He is very detail oriented and knows the law inside and out. He is very professional and knows when to take things seriously and is always on top of the new regulations and laws. He fights zealously for you in court and cares about his clients. I could not have asked for a more fair and competent attorney than Adam. He is great; he not only cares about clients throughout the duration of the case, but also checks in with them after the case has been resolved. He always fought very hard for me in mediation / court and won the case like a real "champion". He is also well respected in the legal community and I would rate him an 11 out of 10, not just a 10 out of 10.

Verified ClientHired Law firm 2021Kate is a very knowledgeable employment law attorney. I was faced with employment law problem with my employer right when the COVID 19 first started (Spring 2020). I needed help and advice on what to do in my unique situation. So happy I worked with Kate. She has extensive knowledge of employment law and is very friendly. She took my situation with uttermost respect, she was always available to talk to and offers superb advice on how to proceed with my current situation. I do not know what I would have done without her helping me every step on the way. Times are stressful and it is always a good idea to have an Employment Law attorney on your side who is respectful, knowledgeable and ready to defend you in any situation that one has encountered at work. Thank you, Kate for your professionalism and solving my problems.

Verified ClientHired Law firm 2019-2020I would highly rate Beckman Law. Kate was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was very professional, and extremely knowledgeable in the subject areas related to our case. Always very prompt in her responses, and guided us through the process. Should I have any legal needs in the future, she would be my first call.

Verified ClientConsulted Law firm 2018-2019Worked with the Beckman Law Firm on a parenting plan issued under a Colorado Springs court. Administratively, appointments were prompt and fees were transparent. We met first in person and then corresponded by both telephone and email. Legally, the issues were discussed straightforwardly and without confusion. At the end of the in-person consultation, my wife and I felt that we were being well taken care of. And by the end of the issue, we felt that we were able to make informed and defensible decisions with regards to our case. While we did not go to court, we felt comfortable that if we needed to, for any reason, we would have been in good hands.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
