I hired Carlos Alberto Londono of Alpha and Omega Law PLLC in early 2026 for my high-conflict divorce and domestic violence case in Broward County. What followed was one of the worst legal experiences of my life. From the beginning, communication was a disaster. He routinely ignored emails and important updates. When I sent detailed emails about critical hearings (including status quo hearing) and other urgent matters such as my IRS IP PIN, he refused to even read them, claiming they were “too long.” This left me completely in the dark during a case where my safety, housing, and financial survival were on the line. Because of how incompetent he was in handling my divorce case, the opposing attorney walked all over him. As a direct result of his failure to protect my interests, I was forced to go back to the food bank just to get food. Approximately three weeks before trial, he sent me a predatory supplemental retainer contract demanding more money up front. I refused to sign it. He then texted me and told me that if I did not sign it, he would withdraw from my case. Shortly after that, he dropped me — leaving me abandoned right before trial after taking my money and stringing me along. After I formally terminated him on June 29, 2026, he immediately filed a Notice of Attorney’s Charging Lien against any recovery I might receive. This felt predatory and retaliatory. He is also keeping my files hostage. I have sent him multiple emails requesting that he release my files, and he has still not done so. Throughout the representation he failed to aggressively protect my interests on temporary support, status quo enforcement, exclusive use of the marital home, and the domestic violence evidence that was central to my case. I was left scrambling, unprepared, and forced to deal with the fallout of his withdrawal right before trial. I have since filed a formal Florida Bar complaint against him and am pursuing further remedies. I strongly advise anyone considering hiring Carlos Alberto Londono or Alpha and Omega Law PLLC — especially for family law or domestic violence matters — to look elsewhere.
