Kevin Gick represented me for a reckless driving charge (83mph in a 60mph zone on the interstate) in Botetourt County and did a fantastic job. In VA that is a class 1 misdemeanor which can result in a permanent criminal record and jail time. Kevin responded to me hours after I contacted his firm on his way back from picking up his children after a long day of work. Very good first impression! He explained the seriousness of the charges, but clearly layed out what my son needed to do proactively for his case. After an in person 5 hour driving course and 27 hours of community service (1 hour for every mph over the speed limit), Kevin still needed to persuade the judge to not send my son to jail. The judge was planning on sending him to jail for two days right before Thanksgiving to teach him a lesson, but Kevin was able to persuade her not to due to his medical condition. Kevin is very respected by the judges and prosecutors in Roanoke county too which is very beneficial. My son has to re-appear before the judge in 6 months with a clean driving record, a transcript of his college grades & do another 30 hours of community service, but we are hopeful that this will prevent him from having a criminal record as he is an aerospace engineer student. I can't imagine going through this process without Kevin Gick. He is very relatable and a great fit for a college student that kept us very informed every step of the way & explained the worst case scenarios as well. The state of Virginia is extremely strict about speeding and traffic violations, don't go to court without Mr. Kevin Gick by your side. You won't be sorry.

I retained Mr. Gick after being charged with reckless driving for doing 98 when the speed limit was 65 in a highway safety corridor. I was looking at a class 1 misdemeanor which can result in a permanent criminal record and up to a year in jail. Mr. Gick returned my call within 24 hours and told me all the tasks I could do before trial to incline the judge to be more lenient. In the end, my charge was reduced to non-criminal improper driving with a small fine and no jail time.
