As a law firm partner and the lead attorney of the workers' compensation practice, I will ensure our team provides you the best possible representation when seeking your compensation and medical coverage. For more than 30 years, I have represented employees, insurance carriers and employers before the Virginia Workers’ Compensation Commission and the Virginia Court of Appeals. Now we represent only injured workers; however, that prior experience has provided me and our team a range of perspectives that could strengthen your claim. I understand how insurance companies and employers manage workers' compensation claims, which could lead to a better outcome for you.
Outside of our practice, I keep other lawyers informed about the law. I have spoken at several continuing legal education classes, specifically on compensation law topics in 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2008. I lectured for the National Business Institute in 2012 and 2016 on handling of workers' compensation cases.
We offer consultations to injured workers, and we can represent you when filing your claim and during a hearing. If you have already filed a claim and it has been accepted, we can ensure you receive all of the benefits you are entitled to under state law. When it is needed, we will negotiate a settlement for you.
